Stoneware espresso cup thrown with a blend of textured iron-rich clays, covered with painterly brushstrokes of a white stoneware slip and finished with brushstrokes of a glaze made from silver birch ash. Finished on the inside with a brilliant white, glossy glaze. Rim is left as polished raw clay.

Textured, tactile outer finish. Smooth, glassy inner surface.

Cirrus Collection: Clouds predicting good weather; the churn of ocean waves; water cascading over river rocks. Eyes lost in the movement of the outside world.

Holds approx. 175 ml.

Dimensions: approx. 7.25 cm upper ø x 8.5 cm H.

Second: this piece is perfectly functional but has some small glaze blisters that have popped. These have been polished so they are smooth but the raw clay can been seen where the glaze had blistered.
